glass
Feldman has been on the cutting edge of contemporary hand blown glass since 1982. His "Primary" series of blown glass art bears distinctive forms and images that are notations of a journey through the dream state. These vibrant marks are symbolic of man's spirit, his relationship with heaven and earth, and how our presence is punctuated by mere dashes in time. |

the raku firing process that I use puts great stress on the clay body but results in unpredictable, beautiful, and at times spectacular color on each piece. A wonderful metaphor for life: it is the fire that although stressful, gives each of us our individual beauty and depth. As I sculpt and then fire figures and animals (with a special emphasis on the horse as symbolic representation of lifes journey) I am reminded of this dynamic over and over again. In my life and in my art I am learning to trust the fire. |

I love to travel. I return with a new collections of sea shells, seedpods, driftwood and polished stones. While content with nature's bounty, I keep hoping that the next receding wave or overturned rock will have left at my feet a real treasure from the past. As this has not yet come my way, I have created this series of masks: relics of unknowable civilizations discovered in improbably ways. |

I have come to where I am through a life long love of making things; models, musical instruments, paintings, and in the last few years lathe turned vessels. My intent in all of these endeavors has been simple and straightforward; to make them perfectly. Success is rare and also temporary, as what seems perfect today will tomorrow seem improvable. So, I always have the impetus to try again. |

steel
D. Tillery is a talented metalworker, welder, and artist working with recycled parts. For his chairs he uses surplus military airdrop containers, railroad boxcar springs, and lightrail track. The raw steel is ground and polished giving the steel a very textured look. His pieces are coated with a clear powder coat that is backed on to protect the surface from rust. They can go indoors or out, are durable, and surprisingly comfortable. |

My art draws ecological parallels, since we're destroying things faster than they can be created. I'm asking people to take a moment and really look at that soft green color in that stone...Once you fire clay, it basically becomes a rock.. Even if a pot gets broken, there will be pieces in the ground that someone might someday come across...an archaelolgical reference to what I feel and do. |
