Working in clay and mixed media allows me to give form to those things I find in my imagination, to materialize the ways in which I see the world. I work primarily with the stylized figure, expressing everyday events, inspired by my role as mother, woman, artist, wife, and simply a human being on this fast paced planet.

Art is my way to discuss, advise, examine, and always to keep a sense of humor about life in general.

My work is handbuilt lowfire clay, using mostly slab and pinch construction. Much attention is given to the surface texture, carving, scratching, stamping... creating a visual dialog. I complete my work using cold finishes of acrylics, inks, color pencils, and whatever else it takes to communicate my intended vision.
