Artist Statement
Reven Swanson is fascinated by traditional arts that are passed from one generation to the next, like a story. She explores the traditional patterns and methods then blends them into a contemporary art form. Her sculptures are crafted in a variety of materials to express a personal biography which draws from her observations of women and their roles in the modern world.

Ms. Swanson is a native Coloradan and has pursued a career as a professional artist since 1989. Her work resides in public and private collection, both nationally and internationally. Highlighted collectors include the Ginny Williams Foundation, The Lincoln Center in Fort Collins, and Lamar Community College.
